Year 5’s project was Scream machine, based on the book The boy who swam with piranhas, by David Almond.  The children were tasked with designing and making a moving Ferris Wheel, this linked into their Computing lessons: the children programmed Lego We Do this linked to a motor on the Ferris Wheel, which in turn made it move.  The children had great fun making their safety  carriages thinking about the features that they needed in order to keep everyone safe and finally creating some wonderful Ferris Wheels.
