Love to Read: This half term, our book is The Wind in the Willows.

The Wind in the Willows follows animal friends, Mole, Rat, Toad and Badger as they embark on a range of adventures down the river. Amongst these adventures, they must try to help their reckless friend Toad when his love for motorcars gets out of hand.

English: English this half term will begin with writing our own set of Instructions. This will be followed by writing a Newspaper Report based on the fictional events detailed in our class book. Finally, we will be writing our very own setting-based story.

 

Geography: This half term, our Geography unit is called Majestic Mountains and here we learn all about the formation of mountains, as well as some very famous examples. As well as this, we learn about the sections of a river, the water cycle and some examples of important rivers. We are also lucky enough to have a trip on Shrewsbury’s Sabrina Boat, sailing on the River Severn!

 

Maths: Throughout this half term, we will mainly be looking at decimals, as well as time and converting units, including units of time.

 

RE: Our question for RE this half term is ‘Can Following God Bring Freedom and Justice?’ and we explore key terms such as covenant and freedom.

 

PSHEE: This half term we will be focusing on Relationships, learning all about what makes a healthy relationship and how to navigate the online world.

 

PE: Our Indoor PE this half term is Multi-skills while our Outdoor PE is Rounders.

 

MFL: Our Modern Foreign Language is French, and we will be learning about school vocabulary and school life.

 

Computing: We will be looking at selection in quizzes, pulling on our knowledge of programming.
