Our geography theme this half term is “Beast Creator”, where we will be exploring the Amazon Rainforest and the living things that inhabit this incredible place. We are extremely excited about our rainforest roadshow where we will have hands on experience handling creatures from the rainforest and exploring a variety of rainforest artefacts. Our Love to Read text will be The Explorer by Katherine Rundle, which is a brilliant adventure story set in the Amazon Rainforest! In English, we will be writing persuasive letters linked to our geography unit and particularly the devastating effects of deforestation.  Decimals and percentages will be the focus in maths while in science we will be developing our scientific enquiry skills.

We are now getting super speedy with our times tables and related division fact recall. Don’t forget to log into TTrockstars every week to compete in the competitions. Reading at home remains a priority. Last half term we had a huge number of bookworms reading every night! Please continue to read at least four times a week. . . . . . your efforts will be rewarded!
