Hello all,
Because there doesn’t appear to be an end in sight to all this madness, we have decided to make a change to our school day that will continue for the foreseeable future. Our children normally come to school from 8:45am until 3:20 pm. At the moment some year groups are getting less learning time than this and we want this to stop. So from Tuesday 3rd November we will be changing things slightly.
Beginning of the day:
Year 3 & 4 will enter school at 8:50 am
Year 5 & 6 will enter school at 8:40 am
Year 5 children will enter through St. Luke’s and Year 6 through the car park gate as they all do now but at 8:40 am
Year 3 will enter through the pedestrian gate and go straight round to their classroom as they do now. Year 4 will go up St. Luke’s drive and in through that gate and into class as they do now. Both year groups will enter at 8:50 am.
Parents will have to stay outside the school gates and at the end of St. Luke’s drive.
End of the day:
ALL COLLECTORS ARE ASKED TO WEAR A MASK ON SITE PLEASE.
IT IS ALSO IMPORTANT TO SOCIALLY DISTANCE YOURSELVES, KEEP YOUNG CHILDREN WITH YOU AT ALL TIMES AND TO LEAVE THE SITE PROMPTLY.
PLEASE BE VERY AWARE OF DANGERS ON THE CAR PARK AT BOTH ENDS OF THE DAY.
Year 3 & 4 will finish at 3:20 pm
Year 5 & 6 will finish at 3:10 pm
Year 5 children will leave through their normal door AT 3:10 pm and come to their parents who will be asked to enter through the pedestrian gate and wait on the front part of the playground that they use now (the part of their playground nearest to school). They will leave through the car park as now.
Year 6 children will meet their parents on the playground next to St. Luke’s drive at 3:10 pm. You will be asked to wait for them on the half of the playground nearest to the adventure playground. Exit will be through the car park gate as now.
Year 3 children will leave at 3:20 pm and will be brought to their parents who will be asked to enter AND LEAVE thought the pedestrian gate.
Year 4 parents will enter via St. Luke’s drive and wait on the half of their playground nearest the school. They will lave via the car park as they do now.
If older siblings collect younger ones they will have to leave the site in the expected way and then re enter as if they were a parent collecting. They must not come to reception to ask for their sibling.
If you have children in different years, can I suggest that you meet them in an arranged place on the car park area?
I hope this makes sense and gives us all a little bit more normality until we hear any different.
Please contact me with any questions or queries,
