Visits play an important part in our curriculum. There is nothing better to stimulate interest and curiosity than to visit a historical site or enjoy a play performed in a theatre. Every year group in school arranges visits to tie in with the work the children are doing and you will be notified well in advance when these take place. Parents (subject to DBS clearance) often volunteer to accompany the children on trips and we appreciate any offers of help.
We have a popular residential visit for children in Year 6. This is focused on outdoor adventurous activities at Aberdovey Outward Bound Centre. All children benefit and enjoy this trip. We have also recently introduced 2 night residential for our Year 4 children to The Pioneer Centre at Cleobury Mortimer.
For all trips that take place in school time we ask parents for a voluntary contribution to cover the cost. Quite often the cost is already subsidised by school fund.
