Starting School

Starting SchoolAt Wrockwardine Wood Church of England Junior School, we welcome everybody to join us, young and old. If you come to visit you will feel that ethos as soon as you come in; come and see for yourself. We work hard with the local Infant School to ensure a smooth transition for our Year 3 pupils to allow them to be familiar and comfortable with us from day one meaning less tears from parents in September!

Also as a popular school, we often have children joining us in other year groups. They too are soon absorbed into our family and are treated with kindness and acceptance by everyone here. Please don’t take our word for it though, come and visit. Our children will act as your guides and you’ll soon see what we mean.

On the first day of school, you are welcome to bring your child into class. We ask that on the second day of term, you wait with your child on the playground. When the first bell rings at 8:45am, the children can then walk into school on their own.
