Wear red for Zac

Wear Red for Zac day.

As you may be aware from social media and local news there is a large campaign across Telford and the wider area to raise money to help this young man to get the treatment that he needs in America.

On Friday 28th of September we at WWJS will join lots of the community in Telford in wearing red for Zac. Your child can wear items of red clothing to school in return for a donation to the campaign.

Due to our own experience of fundraising connected to child illness we would like to request that money is NOT brought into school. The team helping Zac should have him as the main focus and won’t then need to find the time for us to hand over a cheque.

Please donate via the dedicated text number shown on the attached picture or directly via the just giving web page.

Let’s make a difference 👍

Homework challenge begins!

Summer has truly begun now that our first homework challenge entries have started to roll in.

An excellent effort by one of our new year 3 boys with a bike ride, and a great start by one of our most consistent challengers with a tree climb.

Well done boys!

You can show us how your challenging is going by messaging us through our Facebook page – so, what are you waiting for!

Congratulations to these children for managing 100% attendance for the full school year.

Special congratulations to our year 6 with the special achievement of not missing a day of school for the past 6 years.3BC104A2-3162-470F-B5F4-CDFCE7B403BF

Wellbeing Award

Exciting news!

We have just begun the process of working towards gaining a prestigious Wellbeing Award, which will recognise our commitment as a school in promoting and protecting the emotional wellbeing and mental health of our children – something that we are really passionate about.

As part of the initial process, we need to collect your views on how you feel about our current emotional wellbeing provision. We will then use your responses to build on and improve our current practice in order to ensure that we offer our children the very best support with mental health and emotional wellbeing.

You can access the survey by clicking on the following link:

Many thanks for your continued support,
Mrs Brindley-Jones
